As many of you may remember, last year I opened an online vintage clothing store with my lovely friend Teresa. After much thought and contemplation I recentlyΒ made the decision to leave the business, so that I can devote more of my time to all the other things I want to achieve this year (after all, there are a LOT of things on my list).
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement over the past 12 months – it’s been much appreciated and helped make the year a whole lot of fun. I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop about some exciting future developments I’m currently working on, which involve vintage clothes, screen printing, writing and travel (intriguing, no?) … but first comes making some plans for the coming weekend …
Do you have something wonderful planned for yourself?
PS. Speaking of something wonderful and something travel related … My lovely (and very talented) friend Erika has launched her ‘Kickstarter Project‘ to undertake an artist residency in Hong Kong. Perhaps you’d like to offer her your support and make the dream of ‘Erika Lee Sears and the Hong Kong Project‘ a reality? (every little bit counts).
Tracey! Look how cute you are in the picture π I wish I could pull off red lipstick.
One thing I really admire about my husband is that he knows when to follow his instincts and gut and knows when to make hard decisions. I always second guess what I am doing. I really admire that you are following your gut and going for a dream. I ready to read your novel. π
THank you so much for your support- I am so overwhelmed with gratitude of how many thoughtful words you have said π

PS- Have you started planning your Tokyo trip.. if you have a iphone download google transalate.. its free π
Hi Erika – You are so sweet! π
I find that I have to go for quite an orange-red lipstick to make the colour work, otherwise it just ends up looking like a bit of a mess … you just need to enlist the help of a friend to help you choose one (I’m sure there’s a perfect red for us all!). π
Your husband’s ability to follow his instincts is admirable indeed … it’s something that I’m gradually getting better at doing. I’m probably a little more like you most of the time in that I tend to second guess myself. Thanks for your support!
That novel of mine is patiently waiting to get finished … I can’t wait to properly get back to writing it! π
My support is my pleasure Erika … I can’t wait to see you achieve more of your dreams! π
PS. Thanks for the google translate tip … I’m now on to it! π
xx
You sound very focussed – good for you. Just a relaxing weekend by the sea π
Hi Gabrielle – Thank you! I think becoming more focussed and just living more ‘efficiently’ is something I want to achieve this year (fingers crossed on that one).
A relaxing weekend by the sea sounds completely grand.
xx
Adore the charming print Tracey!
All the best in your new chapter in life!!

Hi Lenore – Oh, thank you so much (that dress is a particular favourite of mine).
Thanks for your kind words as well … my blog readers are so lovely and supportive! π
xx
I think it’s wonderful that you have made the hard decision to stay true to yourself in the now. It is such a release. I remember when I started to say “no” to opportunities of freelance work that no longer made me happy. It felt so invigorating and powerful. Can’t wait to see what mysterious things you are planning!
Hi Lucent Imagery – Being true to ourselves and re-prioritising as we go, are to very important things to trust I think. After all, I think the point of life is to follow our hearts and our happiness.
you’re so cute. I wish I could wear red lipstick like that. It makes me look like someone form the Rocky Horror.
Now I can’t wait for your next steps.
Hi Bobbi – You are too kind! π
I must admit that I don’t wear red lipstick very often … just on special occasions and for the sake of vintage! π
Haha … while I do love Rocky Horror, I’m sure you don’t end up looking like one of the characters (you’re too funny Bobbi!). π
hey tracey! glad yr making the right transition for yrself – good luck always in all things!
Hi Jason – Thanks so much! Your support is always very much appreciated … you’ve reminded me that I’d best catch up on your wondrous story … I’ve been saving it up in my google reader for far too long now.
Catch up soon.
Thanks for popping by. I will still be visiting my favourite blogs of which you are included. I just don’t have time to blog. I work part time, love to cook, exercise, read, run a house, be a mum, wife and have time just for me. I feel sad but I had to let go. Charmaine
Hi Charmaine – I’m so glad to hear you’ll be visiting blogs still (and I’m very lucky to be considered one of your favourite blogs – thank you).
I completely understand that whole lack of time thing – blogging can most certainly eat into valuable time that we sometimes need to dedicate to everything else in our lives.
I’m just glad you’re looking after yourself first and foremost, everything else can sort itself out.
Take care, dear friend. xx
Sounds exciting….some of my favourite things….can’t wait to hear more…..
…by the way lovely photograph Tracey, you look positively glowing…no wonder with all your new ventures to look forward to…
Hi Debby – I’m glad to hear you’re intrigued!! (I promise I’ll reveal a little bit more of my future projects soon … just once I find a few more hours in my day!) Haha! π
Thanks so much for your kind words about my photo … I’m often a little shy about my photo, so it’s wonderful that I have such supportive blog friends.
You are so very sweet!! xx
Hello Tracey,
Thanks for your lovely comments, I am glad you like the pics π
Must have been a hard decision to stop with your business, nice that you have so many exciting new projects!
Looking forward to reading the news, very intriguing π
Have a great week.
xx
Hi Sandrine – You are very welcome … your beautiful blog and stunning photos will always have me coming back for more (and leaving you my heartfelt flatteries).
It was a hard decision to make in regards to the business … but something I’ve discovered in life is that sometimes even the hardest of decisions can be easier than you first thought they’d be … And yes, I’m VERY excited about my future projects, I’m hoping all my wonderful readers will be excited too (well, once I share some more)..
Thanks so much for your lovely visit. Take care.
xx
I wish you all the good luck in the world with your new projects! Can’t wait to hear about your future developments! β₯
Hi Camila – Thanks so much for your support … I’m looking forward to sharing some future exciting news about my plans in the not-too-distant future.
π
Hello Tracey – You have quite a strong, mysterious, striking and intellectualized presence, thus, the perfect embodiment of anyone’s “Shangri-La.” Just delightfully picture perfect!
Thank you dear Lisa – you are as ever, so kind and poetic in your flattery (it is always a pleasure to read such lovely words) … it was a little while ago that I ‘donned the fifties garb’, and I’ve since tweaked my hairstyle (I hope you like that too).
I do hope you’ve been well, and that the world has been appropriately thankful for the wonderful mysteries and creative energies you bring into it.
xx
GORGEOUSNESS!!
Hi Hayley – Aww … you are so sweet! Thank you.
