Happy Valentine’s Day … a winner is revealed

Thanks so much to everyone who entered my giveaway from last week … I really enjoyed reading about all the exciting and creative things you’ve been up to. While I’m a little behind in blog related things at the moment, I shall be catching up with all your wonderful blogs and comments this week.

Given today’s date, I’ll take the opportunity to wish you a very ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ for today (if you enjoy this day set aside for love and romance) … if you are like me and feeling a bit ‘meh’ about the whole Valentine’s Day thing (shouldn’t love and romance be for every day?), instead I’ll just wish you a wonderful day!

Anyway, on to the business at hand and drawing a winner of the giveaway. As you can see I wrote all your names down on raffle tickets, had the whole ceremony officially witnessed by Baxter (his doggy nose is just peeking into view), and asked the Mr to draw the name out of the bowl.

I had to laugh when I saw the ticket he selected … as I’ve been very successful in a number of Kylie’s blog giveaways this year (perhaps the universe is trying to balance things out?). Congratulations Kylie!! I shall wrap up your goodies and give them to you when we next meet up … I shall then organise the donation to the RSPCA that I’ll be making on your behalf.

Have a lovely day everyone … I know it’s not quite the same, but you’re all winners to me.

Have a wonderful day too Tracey – I’m a bit like you regarding Valentines day (just commercialise blah), but I cannot escape it as my little Tessa has insisted we celebrate (she made me a lovely card, so did Michael) and I have promised to make heart shaped chocolate cakes for the four of us this afternoon – well at least we get to eat cake – haha.

Hi Gabrielle – Yes, that whole Valentine’s Day hoopla tends to pass me by … I think I probably noticed it more when I was much younger. Now I prefer to choose my own days for declarations of love rather than wait for a designated day. As ever, we have much in common. πŸ™‚

How sweet though that your children made you lovely Valentine’s Day cards (that’s adorable), and given that I’d take any excuse to indulge in cake, it means I’d readily become a St Valentine believer too! πŸ˜‰

I hope the heart shaped chocolate cakes worked out beautifully!! πŸ˜€

    Congrats to Kylie!

Hi MMMC – People are so lovely to congratulate the lucky winner!! πŸ™‚
Kylie received her lovely prize this week, and I think she’s very happy with it.
I wish all my lovely readers could win! πŸ™‚

Awww… πŸ™‚ Congrats to Kylie! Next time I might invent some aliases πŸ˜‰

Hi Kiersty – Haha … hey that’s a good idea! In fact, aliases would probably be handy for a whole lot of other situations too! πŸ˜‰

PS. Your lovely poetry package arrived today … it’s wonderful!!! πŸ˜€
Thanks so much, you’ve spoilt me so wonderfully well. There is nothing more perfect than an artist like you who shares her talent with the world so generously.
