What I was going to do on the weekend

How was your weekend? I hope it was grand and filled with many wondrous adventures.

I enjoyed a relatively low-key, home-based weekend, and did my best to keep the stress bunnies away and eating their anti-relaxation carrots somewhere else. I think I’m still trying to find the right balance between work and out-of-work activities … I know I’ll get there soon, but still …

One thing I had planned on doing over the two day break was put together my new ‘Amsterdam Jewellery Stand’ from Polli

Well clearly that didn’t quite happen.

There were words to be written, paperwork to be organised, a house to clean, dogs to pat, rain to fall, movies to watch and sleep to be done … This will therefore be an activity I’ll look forward to doing next weekend. It will be lovely to see all my jewellery finally organised and on display – that way I may actually remember to wear some of it.

So how was your weekend? Did life happen while you were busy making other plans?

What a great weekend you’ve had. I think we’re all striving for a good life balance, and when life get’s in the way of well-made plans, you know you’re on track! πŸ™‚
My weekend was actually a good balance of eating out, but also ticking some things off the long to do list. I’ve never heard of the Amsterdam jewellery stand before, but it looks fabulous. Very stylish idea, yet practical.

Hi Sonia – Things have been busy lately haven’t they? It can be a challenge to find enough ‘space’ in our days for nothingness and relaxed ‘something-ness’ … I agree, when life gets in the way we know things are going well! πŸ˜€

Your weekend sounds like it was lovely too – eating out and ticking things off the to do list sounds pretty wonderful to me! You’ll have to pay ‘Polli’ a visit sometime – they have lovely jewellery and home accessories … and they’re all eco-friendly which is even better.

      Take care.

This weekend I took your advice and dived into Twitter! @DoWhatYouLoveXx Thanks so much for your thoughts on my blog the other day (which has now moved to http://www.dowhatyouloveforlife.com ) See you there!

Hi Beth – I’m so glad you decided to jump on board with the whole Twitter thing … it can honestly be a really wonderful and rewarding experience … πŸ™‚

I’ve added your new blog to my reader … it’s always a pleasure to visit! πŸ™‚

Sounds like you had a weekend like mine πŸ™‚ I wrote about mine too. I reckon we all deserve just to veg out a little after all the Christmas/New Year hoobalah, don’t we?

Hi Kiersty – I loved what you wrote about your weekend … and how funny we visited eachother’s virtual homes at about the same time (clearly great minds think alike).

I agree, we just need some down time after the madness of the Christmas / New Year season … otherwise the year will race away from us too quickly.

  4. Mel

Do please show us the jewellery stand once you have put it together! πŸ™‚

I had a lovely weekend, just enough to do and enough not doing anything much!

Hi Mel – I will definitely show everyone the jewellery stand once it is all put together … I’ve just been going through my jewellery collection and I think it shows that a cull is needed!

Your weekend description sounds great – just enough to do and not doing much sounds like the right kind of weekend combination to me! πŸ˜€
