And so we bid farewell to another Christmas day … see you next year Santa! Until then, bring on the chocolate!
On the second day of Chocmas,
my true love sent to me
Two golden roughs,
And a tasty minted pattie.
I adore pretty much everything that uses coconut as a key ingredient – coconut macaroons, coconut biscuits, coconut slice … if it has coconut in it, I’m pretty sure I’ll like it. So it should come as no surprise that I say ‘hello’ to the delights of Golden Roughs in a very BIG way. Much like mint and chocolate, I think coconut and chocolate are a perfect partnership.
PS. How did your Boxing Day treat you? Mine was spent gathering up used wrapping paper, getting the house into a semi-clean state and watching lots of Doctor Who.
Yummi :-)))
I hope you are having a wonderful holiday.
Happy New Year – May it be fantastic for you and bring you great joy!
Hi Christine – I’ve most certainly been enjoying a lovely holiday from work and deadlines … it’s been bliss. I hope you’ve enjoyed the same.
I just know that next year is going to be the best one yet! 😀
I love golden roughs! But my supermarket doesn’t stock them anymore. Mint patties yes, golden rough no. I figured that had stop making them
Hi Kellie – How disappointing that your supermarket doesn’t stock Golden Roughs … that’s just wrong!
We have Golden Roughs and Mint Patties in abundance where I live … it’s odd that the same supermarket chains stock different product lines in different locations, it’s just chocolate after all.
Yummo! I’m loving your chocolate days of Chrissy Tracey. This year I bought what are called chocolate snowballs (marshmellow covered in chocolate and coconut) – so delicious (reminds me a bit of a wagon wheel with the marshmellow and all).
Hi Gabrielle – I’m glad you’re enjoying all the chocolate goodness … I thought I’d share the treats around this year (even if it is only in a virtual sense).
Chocolate snowballs sound really delicious … I don’t think I’ve tried them before. Seeing as I’m a fan of wagon wheels and anything coconutty, I’m pretty sure they’d be a treat I’d enjoy too! 🙂
Never heard of these! Not something we have in the UK – though we do have those chocolate snowballs 🙂
Hi Mel – Thank goodness that chocolate is universal, even if it comes in different varieties. I really do need to try those chocolate snowballs! 🙂
Well, I do believe I’ve stumbled upon a chocoholic’s paradise? When I was younger, pleasures could be found in Mars’ Bounty bar. The combination of chocolate and coconut delivered the perfect amount of ambrosial satisfaction. Surely enough, the discovery lead to a continuous fulfillment of my wishes.
Hi Lisa – Indeed … the blog has been temporarily transformed into a land of chocolate … rather fitting I think given the festive time of year.
I completely agree with you on your pleasure found within Bounty bars … I adore the mix of coconut and chocolate delivered in such a form.
If there is something in this world that can’t be accomplished based on the power and goodness of chocolate, I’m still yet to discover it! 😉
