If that phrase is true, then I’ll be able to keep myself in good health for many a day ahead. All I have to do is carry my new apple bag with me and I’ll be guaranteed a daily vitamin dose.
I was lucky enough to win this lovely bag from Kylie, who printed it during her recent screen-printing course. I’m thinking it’s the perfect bag for filling with my bargain op-shop finds and fresh food goodies from the market!
Given that Kylie is also a local Brisbane blogger, I was able to catch up with her for a wonderful ‘real-life’ meeting earlier this week, and I’ve since happily discovered she’s tagged me with a cool blog meme, which should be a lot of fun. I’ll start responding to it next week (you may just learn something new about me!).
Have you been getting your daily fruit of late?
I am the worst when it comes to daily fruit. I did buy some pineapple juice for my vodka club for later š Does that count?
Hi Erika – I’m shocking at getting my ‘daily’ fruit too … I totally respect your pineapple juice intake for the purposes of vodka club!! š
btw … there’s such a thing as a vodka club?? … now I’m totally jealous! š
Luckily (or not) for me, I have a husband who regularly inquires as to how many pieces of fruit I’ve eaten each day.
I’m glad you like the bag, and I can’t wait to read your meme responses! Let’s catch up for lunch again soon…
Hi Kylie – Aww, it’s sweet that your husband wants to keep you healthy with fruity goodness. I’m really, really bad at eating enough fruit … which is kind of ironic seeing as I’m vegetarian! š
The apple bag is wonderful … and has already proved useful at a weekend op-shopping adventure! š
I live on apples and carrots. Whenever I need to crunch somenthing that’s where I aim. I’ll live forever and wrinkle-free.
Hi Bobbie – Apples and carrots definitely make for healthy times … I wish I could be as committed to such lovely fresh food! Though I am rather partial to munching on celery sticks! š
cute bag!
me? i am a banana eater every day. mmmm…
Hi Urban Muser – Glad you like the apple bag too (it’s super sweet!).
Oh yes, bananas are rather lovely … though I tend to be so fussy with my fruit, I’ve had a few bad experiences with under-ripe bananas and it tends to put me off … though summer is on the way in Australia and that means lots of delicious fruits will come into season! š
screenprinting is great and it is not easy. charmaine
Hi Charmaine – I remember that I really enjoyed doing screenprinting at high school … it’s a great challenge! š
I find apples a bit hard to eat because my teeth are sensitive (unless they are cooked of course – apple pie is not to be sneezed at) but I usually eat an orange a day and watermelon and stone fruit when in season (nectarines and peaches starting to come in – yum).
Hi Gabrielle – Oh yes, apple pie is a most excellent way to achieve an intake of apples … especially homemade apple pie … yum!
Stone fruit time of year is my favourite fruit-eating-time … I love the nectarines, peaches, apricots … pretty much everything really! … and watermelon is so refreshing when the day is hot and bothersome. š
it’s a lovely bag.
thanks for your comments, and sorry it’s taken me so long to pop in…
š
Hi Belinda – Aside from looking lovely, my new apple bag is also perfect for having in my handbag ready to spring to action for a shopping emergency! š
… no need to apologise for not visiting sooner … it’s been lovely to see all the wonderful things you’ve been working on! š
