And hoo-hoo might this be?

The strangest things can happen when you’re out and about looking for something in particular. More often than not something completely unrelated ends up finding you along the way. Take for instance this curious little fellow …

On the day we met I was actually shopping for stationery supplies. Along the way I made an unscheduled owlish detour and came upon this squat little fellow. There’s something quite lovely about his colour and shape don’t you think?
Even though I’m currently streamlining my household goodies, I just couldn’t resist bringing this lovely little gentleman home to roost.

He is very handsome indeed and he looks right at home among those paper creases.

Hiya Brad – He is a rather charming fellow, and I too am particularly fond of how he looks in his owlish nest of crinkled paper. He’s now sitting proudly on my bedside table to help send me some delightful flighty dreams!

I love your owl – hoot, hoot, but then I do have a thing for owls, real and not real.

Hi Gabrielle – I’m so glad to hear that you’re an owl person too!! (I think there are a few of us out there). I wonder what it is about them that draws us in? Something in those nocturnal habits, quiet flight abilities and large all-knowing eyes perhaps?

Owls are like that. Birds too. I can never resist them.

Hi Gracia – I seem to be building quite a large collection of birds and critters frozen in time (ie. not real), and more often and not they appear in white or lovely neutral colours … I wonder what that’s all about? I really should try and reduce my knick-knacks … but like you I find some lovely things far too lovely to resist! 😉
