Lockface Necklace…fierce protector of my heart

So it’s pretty safe to say that I’m going through a bit of a jewellery phase at the moment. Sure this desire for pretty things does have some disadvantages, but there are also some advantages to adding more beautiful things to my collection.

Rather than buy more books, magazines and clothes which take up valuable space (and weigh a lot when you have to move), jewellery is generally small, easily packed and in the grand scheme of things weighs just a small amount. So the way I’m justifying the purchase of these lovelies is by undertaking yet another streamlining of my wardrobe and book collection … I’m feeling pretty happy with the resulting balance of this gain and loss equation.

Limedrop Mini-Lockface Necklace

For whatever reason I really love lock-themed jewellery, so how could I resist this beautiful mini-lockface necklace by Australian designers Limedrop? The correct answer is of course that there is no way I could resist. This lovely little fellow will rest above my heart and protect me from those who do not possess the one key which unlocks it.

I can think of no better (or sweeter) pendant up to the task.

Upside down it looks like a big smiley face too. I am greatly enjoying your blog and your tweeting, Tracey.

Hi Paul – Yes I love the upside down smiley face too!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Honestly too many cute things appeal to me, I really wish sometimes that I was able to appreciate more of the ugliness of the world…

Thanks so much for the lovely compliment Paul – your visits here provide me with much enjoyment too! (and you know how much I adore the words which you produce in your bloggy world…). Once again I will say (and I know I probably say this every time I speak to you), that I am in complete awe of your creativity and artistic brilliance.

As much of a fashion ignorer (is that a word?) as I pretend to be, a good piece of jewellery always catches me out.

Hi Maxine – I pretty sure that by ignoring ‘fashion’, you are deemed to be so cool as to be fashionable … just one of life’s little ironies I think! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Oh I love pretty, pretty jewellery – and of course pieces like this which are too cute to resist!!

  5. Lisa

Such lovely preciousness, although I DO NOT DARE to surpass those two down turned faces that guard either side of Lockface. I am forewarned that Pord and Emil (Limedrop spelt backwards) doubly protect Scorpioโ€™s warrior heart.

Hi Lisa – I am so glad to hear that I have chosen wisely in the Lockface pendant to protect my heart with his loyalty and sweet determination. Thank you for the confirmation! 8)

  6. Ricardo

The jewlry will be light unless of course you go crazy and wear big gold chains like Mr.T.
