Yesterday was all about a horse race in Australia (but not for me). It’s that one day of the year on which many people become expert punters, drink too much and productivity around the country falls away dramatically. For those, like me, who do not partake in all the Melbourne Cup fanfare, it’s an excellent opportunity to catch up on work while the office is quiet … just call me Miss Productive! Though horses haven’t been the only animals attracting attention of late …
In the last few weeks, we’ve had a few visitors of the mousey variety … and they have proved to be rather persistent house guests. We’ve been wondering whether we should add a cat to the household to act as a deterrent to future little furry inhabitants … we’re not interested in running a mouse hotel here people!
Speaking of mice, or at the very least, a single mouse … since buying a Mac, I now have the pleasure of a new mouse. Unlike my old trackball mouse, my new mouse requires a mouse pad to keep itself comfortable. I’ve had a little bit of a look through madeit and etsy, but I’m finding the search to be a little overwhelming … I don’t suppose you’d know of any sweet handmade versions you could recommend? Even better, if you know of a local Australian designer / store that sells a lovely mousepad, please let me know, as I’m in desperate need (… my current mousepad is a sheet of blank A4 paper).
However in my search for mousepad goodness, I did come across this adorable mouse on blue caravan – sure, it’s not a mousepad … but just look at that cute mousiness!?!!?
