The Twelve Days of Chocmas (Day Three)

Chances are by now you may have launched yourself into a healthy new eating regime after over-doing it at Christmas, and for that I commend you! Though of course that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some visual chocolate treats.

On the third day of Chocmas,

my true love sent to me

Three lindt balls,

Two golden roughs,

And a tasty minted pattie.

I think that Lindt make rather lovely chocolates, though my favourites are definitely their dark chocolate varieties – the darker the better. I remember once I tried a square of 99% cocoa-content dark chocolate in Canberra – it was AMAZING, but certainly not something I could eat a lot of (being both rich-tasting and expensive).

PS. Did you get up to anything exciting today? I did! While watching the heavy rain fall outside, I finally booked my tickets to Japan for a trip next year. Totoro here I come!

    Japan eh!? Very exciting!

I have started my new year resolution yesterday – I am going to walk 1000 miles in 2011.

I’m not sure how long it’s going to last though – but I did 10 miles yesterday so I’m 1% there (oh, that doesn’t sound very much. Oh dear).

Hi Dan – that sounds like a fantastic new year resolution. I need to do some more thinking about what I’m planning on achieving next year.

Doing 10 miles sounds like a great start – you must have added a few more miles to that tally by now. I think I need to join a gym to kick my healthy plans into gear … blah!

Hi Angie – Lindor chocolates for breakfast sounds like a wonderful way to start the day at this time of year … mmm, chocolate at every meal … yum!

I had two Lindor balls today when I went out for lunch -a black one (which I think had a higher cocoa percentage) and a green one ( mint). You have to love Christmas when it means different Lindor ball flavours are more readily available. Thanks for visiting me too! xx

Hi Brismod – Yum, two lindor balls at lunch sounds pretty good to me. I think also you chose the best varieties – dark and mint varieties are lovely!!

You’re right, Christmas is the best for finding lots of lovely Lindt ball varieties wherever we turn!! 🙂

Wow, Japan?! That’s an amazing opportunity 🙂 No healthy eating for us yet lol, still too many goodies left to be eaten up! Maybe in January….

Hi Mel – Thanks, I’m very much looking forward to going to Japan … I’m thinking it’s going to be amazing!

I haven’t started in on the healthy eating yet either, it will be January before I start that too! 🙂

I love Japan! When are you going? And I adore your 12 days of Chocmas (although to be honest every day is Chocmas for me…) – we have been feasting on lindor balls this festive season, they are my absolute favourite!

Hi Emily – I’m very much looking forward to a Japanese adventure. I’ll be heading over there in May for about 4 weeks … I’m currently working out all the places I want to see and all the things I want to do while I’m there.

Haha, I know what you mean about every day being Chocmas to you … it’s honestly been a bit like that for me too … one day I’ll figure out a way to curb the habit … Lucky you – Lindor balls are delicious!! 🙂
