I have so many fond memories of making my own Christmas cards at school … all that bubble writing, glitter, colouring-in and expert scissoring … what wasn’t there to love?
In remembering this I find it quite surprising that since that time, I’ve never again made my own cards to mark the festive season.
Everything has changed this year though, as I’m taking part in the ‘Creative Collective Handmade Christmas Card Swap‘. I was initially going to buy some lovely handmade cards to send to my swap partners … but instead I decided to have some fun making my own. Just to be on the safe side, I’ll be keeping all my fingers crossed that they work out OK!
Perhaps I’ll be so inspired by the experience that I’ll make more to send to those near and dear to my heart … in any case, the five cards I’m whipping up for my swap partners will be starting their mailed journeys shortly.
Is making and sending Christmas cards still a ‘thing’ that you do?
