Without me noticing, there seems to be a subtle interior design theme weaving its way through many of my blog posts of late. Whether it’s declaring my undying love for the printed beauty of Real Living magazine, or sighing over the incredible houses showcased on Grand Designs … you may be starting to think that I’m suffering from a case of ‘ugly house’ syndrome. Well, if you were thinking along those lines dear reader, I’m here to tell you that your thoughts can be largely confirmed … Perhaps that is why I find myself craving new sources of house and interior beauty at every turn?
By now you’ve probably already heard all about ‘Spaces‘ – the new large format magazine (more of a mook really) by the people behind Frankie magazine … but if not, allow me … What a delight and wonderful source of inspiration ‘Spaces’ is! Weighing in at over 1kg and filled with 256 pages of large format printed glory, Spaces offers a unique insight into the homes of creative people the world over. As an added bonus, it has been printed on lovely smooth matt paper, and has that lovely intermingled fragrance that only comes about when ink and paper intimately combine.
Contained within you’ll find lots of gorgeous photos and sweet interviews with all sorts of home owners – people like graphic designers, artists, shop owners, vintage collectors and photographers. These are real homes lovingly decorated by real people. And what could be more inspirational than that?
