October – less about beer, more about blogging

So I’ve committed to ‘Blogtoberfest‘ this year, but I must admit I’m a little worried as to how I’ll go with a daily posting schedule. Over the month I’m hoping you don’t notice too much of a change in quality versus quantity in my posts, but for now let’s focus on the excitement of the challenge because we’re kind of in this thing together.

I think setting a daily commitment to posting will perhaps free my mind and my thoughts a little more. I may be less inclined to over-think my writing and my posts, and therefore allow things to generally loosen up.

On the other hand I may just end up in a daily panic of ‘what-the-hell-am-I-going-to-post-today?’ – but that could be fun in itself.

Are you taking part too? (I’d love the company)

I’m doing Blogtoberfest as well and I got to admit, I’m kind of feeling the pressure.

Hi Andrea – It’s great to find new blog friends as part of the Blogtoberfest excitement (I think it will help the challenge that much easier to bear knowing that we’re all in this together). Let’s keep those high pressured thoughts at bay! 🙂

Yep, I’ve signed up too…. it’ll be interesting to see how I go! The weekends are the time when I don’t usually post anything (unless something randomly pops up). I’m slowly popping around the blogs on the list and having a good time seeing lots of new places and finding inspiration!

Love your blog name and tag line. The dog in your header pic is gorgeous too!

    Linda. x 🙂

Hi Linda – How lovely to discover so many wonderful people taking the Blogtoberfest challenge – it’s my first year, so I’m not sure what to expect really. All things are feeling pretty good so far, but it’s early days yet! Like yourself, it’s the weekends where I wouldn’t normally post anything – I normally use it at time to think ahead to the coming bloggy week. We may be in for interesting times ahead I think!

It’s been great to visit all the blogs on the Blogtoberfest list – there are so many to see! 🙂

Thanks so much for your kind words about my blog – they’re much appreciated! That dog picture in my header is one that is near and dear to my heart, so I’m glad you like it too! 😀

I’d love to… but that much commitment, ach! I canna do it! I don’t know why my accent suddenly changed there but, hmm, how about every 3rd day? LOL. You can see its rough for me. I’m not as confident!

Hi Kimberley – Haha, perhaps the thought of so much blogging during October brings the Scottish accent out in you? 😉

I’m curious to see how I’ll go with the daily posting … so far so good, but it’s still early days. I’m actually finding it liberating … fingers crossed I last! I definitely think that every third day is a great blogging frequency to maintain – my philosophy has always been something is better than nothing! 😀
