It’s the wrong trousers, Gromit, and they’ve gone wrong!

Midnight came and went.

Soon it was followed by a march of numbers across the clock face that saw me mark 1am, 2am and 3am.

Normally I’d blame a full moon or too much caffeine, but I think my lack of sleep a few nights ago was a case of ‘the wrong trousers’.Β With my regular PJs still not dry from the laundry, I had to make do with a substitute pair … and I think that’s where the trouble started.

Those cursed PJs had me tossing and turning all night.

It’s not that they were necessarily uncomfortable, but because they were a new pair they didn’t have that nice lived in feel. Needless to say the next night I reached for the old faithfuls once more, and was happily rewarded with a full night of sleep.

Have your bed clothing choices ever messed with your sleep patterns? Or is it only my PJs that hold a grudge?

Sometimes yes, but not for hours! I hate it when the sheets and blanket come loose from the end of the bed, and keep creeping up and making my toes cold – that will get me tossing and turning all night. I love Wallace and Gromit.

Hi Gabrielle – Oh yes! I hate it when the sheets and blankets conspire to leave my toes exposed – I’m sensitive to the cold at the best of times! My husband has trouble with the sheet liking to wrap around his upper body and ‘pinning’ him to the bed … oh dear! πŸ˜‰

I love Wallace & Gromit too … “No cheese, Gromit. Not a bit in the house.” πŸ˜€

My kids know all about cheese from Wallace and Gromit – Stilton please (hope that’s how you spell it).

Hi Gabrielle – Haha, that’s awesome. Every child should learn about cheese from Wallace & Gromit! πŸ˜€

I sleep only in extra large t-shirts that have been my friends for years. Wearing something new I’m sure would keep me awake.

Hi Jan – Sleeping in nice big, comfy shirts is definitely a sensible idea!! I think I’ll have to revisit my ‘evil’ PJs and try and get them to be a bit more comfortable … for now it feels a little like, once bitten … twice shy!

PS. It’s so lovely to see you back here again … it’s been too long since I visited you! πŸ™‚
